Changing Faces  – Reframing women in local democracy

Disrupting the gender narrative was the brief. The splendid Bayside Council Chambers displayed 161 years of portraits of mayors on its walls, but only 15 of them were women. This body of work, replaced the historical photographs with portraits of 171  local women and girls, who had made varied and significant contributions to the Bayside community
